On the morning of the announcement by Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan of a new G20 Studies Centre at the Lowy Institute, Lowy Institute Executive Director Michael Fullilove and the Treasurer discussed the importance of the G20 in a changing global economy, particularly to Australia, and Australia's hosting of the G20 Leaders Meeting in 2014.

On Tuesday 9 October, the Lowy Institute for International Policy's Executive Director, Dr Michael Fullilove, launched his new paper on the presidential election, US foreign policy and Australia. "The Audacity of Reasonableness" charts the similarities and differences between the foreign policies of President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney, and draws out the implications for Australia.
